Flash - Our Mascot
On a hot August morning in 2003, GDP’s President, John Gordon, watched as nine lab puppies were born. Each of John’s three boys claimed one.
His youngest son, Grayson, named his “Flash”.
They quickly realized that Flash has a lot of character. He consistently tried to please, always gave his best, was very loyal. Above all else, he was fast!
It occurred to us that Flash embodied many of the core values we strive to uphold here at GDP. The idea was born to adopt him as our mascot. Our customers love the idea, as do our employees. He has become a constant reminder to us to “Respond In A Flash”, to outperform the competition, to always do the right thing and be loyal.
Today Flash (now the III) appears in our advertisements, attends corporate meetings and customer visits (by invitation, of course).
